After long and at times disappointing setbacks, Father Protasio Delfini, a Franciscan Monk of the Catholic Church at Massawa, has managed to obtain the approval from the local authorities for the building of the new school that will run courses in Hotel, Catering and Tourist Management School.

The foundation of the first stone of the 'Professional and Superior School for the Hotel Industry 'St. Francis of Assisi' was laid on the 31st October 2005. Work is progressing steadily and contruction is now visible above ground.
